Directions
From Cold Spring, Fishkill, Peekskill & points south:
Take Route 9 North towards Poughkeepsie; get off the Main Street Exit, at end of ramp make a left on Main Street; pass one traffic light at the entrance to the Poughkeepsie train station; go straight. Waryas Park is at the end of Main St. but make a right on North Water Street to park. There will be a city lot on your left.
From Rhinebeck, Hyde Park, Red Hook & points north:
Take Route 9 South towards Poughkeepsie; get off the Water Street Exit; stay straight and make a right onto the short and narrow RR bridge; turn left onto North Water Street. Past the Mid-Hudson Children’s Museum on your right, there will then be a city lot on the right. Waryas Park is down by the river.
From Pawling, Millbrook, Wingdale and points east:
Take Route 44/55 West to Poughkeepsie; As Route 44/55 gets closer to the heart of Poughkeepsie, the road expands to 3-4 lanes (arterial), As Route 44/55 passes Market Street/Civic Center/Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel and curves to the left, get into the right lane in preparation to make a right turn at the exit light. The next light is the intersection of Route 44/55 and Main Street. Make a RIGHT onto Main Street. , stay on this road until you reach North Water Street; (you will pass signs for entering Route 9 South and the Poughkeepsie train station); Waryas Park is at the end of Main St. but make a right on North Water Street to park.; there will be a city lot on the left.
From the Newburgh/Beacon Bridge:
Follow the directions from Fishkill above.
From the Mid-Hudson Bridge:
Cross the bridge, at the first traffic light make a LEFT. Continue to the first stop sign, make another LEFT. Follow the road around and continue to the next light. (This is the intersection of Clover and Main Street) make a LEFT onto Main Street. Continue on this road (you will past the entrance to the Poughkeepsie train station and one traffic light); Waryas Park is at the end of Main St. but make a right on North Water Street to park.; There’s a city lot on the left.
Metro North:
Waryas Park is one block from the train station. Walk down Main St. towards the river.
